Vermont Integrative Acupunture and Oriental Medicine,

Joshua Singer and Kerry Jenni

Joshua Singer, MS, L.Ac.
Licensed Acupuncturist

While studying as a pre-med in college, Josh decided to take a short break and spend a semester away from his biology studies to travel and gain perspective.  He traveled for that term by ship visiting various countries and was intrigued by China and its approach to medicine.  After returning and graduating with his biology degree, he chose to pursue the study of Chinese Medicine.  With this intent, he then lived in Shenyang, China for one year observing in the hospitals, studying Chinese language, practicing Tai Ji, teaching English, traveling throughout the country, and simply living within the culture. Upon returning to the US, Josh earned his masters degree at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine after three years of study.  With the birth of his first child, he moved back east and settled in Vermont to raise his family and share Chinese Medicine with this community. Josh's interest is in supporting the individual's well-being with the awareness of physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual relationships. He also feels that a multidisciplinary, collaborative approach to health care is a necessary aspect of our evolving model.  Josh lives in East Montpelier with his wife and three children.

Diana Vachon, L.Ac.
Licensed Acupuncturist

Diana's interest in Traditional Chinese Medicine began in 1999, when Chinese herbal medicine was the turning point in her own healing.  Since then she has devoted herself to learning Acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, Tai Chi, Qi Gong, Northern Shaolin Praying Mantis, Yin Style Baguazhang, and deepening her meditation practice, which started at age 12.  Diana earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business at St. Michael's College in 1988.  She spent 13 years on the business side of health care, working in long-term care and home health care.  Pursuing a deep desire to be on the clinical side of health care, she apprenticed for 5 years with Arthur Makaris, licensed acupuncturist in Essex Junction VT, developing her skills in acupuncture and became nationally board certified and licensed in VT in 2008.  Diana will be practicing at IAOM in January 2012.
